Job description
About the Company
Join a well-established and award-winning volume home building firm located in Melbourne's South-Eastern suburbs. The company employs 55 full-time staff and constructs around 120 homes annually, with project contract values averaging between $900,000 and $1,500,000. The homes include both Greenfield developments and Knockdown-Rebuild projects.
Role Overview
The Sales Estimator will oversee pricing activities throughout the early stages of residential construction. This encompasses producing sales quotes, estimating building tenders, managing customer variations, assessing site works, and pricing fixed house-and-land package options. The estimator must thoroughly review architectural plans, engineering documents, developer guidelines, and approved design changes, ensuring all structural, compliance, and cost elements are accurately captured.
Collaboration with sales, drafting, and construction support teams is essential to handle pricing inquiries, keep the variation price book up to date, and safeguard profit margins before construction begins. The role demands an experienced estimator capable of working autonomously under tight deadlines, applying practical building knowledge beyond using standard rates.
