This role is offered on behalf of a partnering organization seeking a Sales Development Representative with expertise in the travel sector. The position is remote and based in Canada. It targets an individual passionate about cultivating relationships and generating new business within the travel market, aiming to expand sales pipelines by identifying prospective clients, engaging decision-makers, and qualifying lucrative opportunities. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and create new business leads via cold calling, emailing, social selling, and other outbound sales approaches.
- Conduct research on target organizations and industry sectors to tailor outreach strategies.
- Engage in discovery conversations to assess inbound and outbound prospects for qualification.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline by pinpointing promising prospects.
- Keep precise records of interactions and pipeline updates within CRM platforms like Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Coordinate with Account Executives to arrange product demonstrations and smoothly transfer qualified leads.
- Consistently meet or surpass weekly and monthly targets related to qualified meetings and pipeline development.
- Provide feedback on market trends and customer insights to marketing teams.
- Stay current with travel industry developments, customer requirements, and competition.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years' experience in sales development or comparable business development roles.
- At least one year of direct professional exposure to the travel industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of travel market trends, main industry stakeholders, and customer decision-making behaviors.
- Proven track record of achieving or surpassing lead generation and sales goals.
- Strong verbal and written English proficiency; additional languages are advantageous.
- Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement software such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, or SalesLoft.
- Superior research, organizational, and lead generation capabilities.
- Capacity to work autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and excel in a fully remote setup.
- Flexibility to coordinate with clients across various time zones.
