About the team
The Academic & Government division supports researchers, educators, and institutions in accelerating knowledge creation and discovery. The group helps turn scientific findings into peer-reviewed knowledge, makes large bodies of content easier to explore, and uses analytics to measure research quality and impact so that insights can lead to real outcomes.
Role overview
This position is centered on lead prospecting and the creation of new sales opportunities. The representative will identify promising accounts, assess conversion potential, and help build a steady pipeline of qualified leads for the solutions sales team.
Key responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through a strong daily outreach rhythm across phone, email, and LinkedIn, and consistently follow up with prospects already identified.
- Take ownership of the lead qualification process by researching assigned targets and using proven value propositions to engage and qualify potential customers.
- Work with the marketing team to monitor, review, and qualify leads coming from multiple channels.
- Partner with Solutions Account Executives to make sure all information captured during the pre-sales stage is accurate and properly recorded.
- Coordinate with sales teams to arrange qualified demos and meetings, strengthen the pipeline, and help create genuine business opportunities in line with approved sales management practices.
- Spot qualified prospects and map internal organization structures to identify decision-makers and influencers.
Skills and requirements
- Strong command of both English and Korean, in speaking and writing.
- Prior exposure to sales, client-facing work, lead generation, or scientific research is helpful, though not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas clearly in written, verbal, and presentation formats.
- A proactive, self-directed approach with strong personal organization and efficiency.
- Consistent work ethic, a history of meeting or exceeding targets, and a positive mindset suited to a fast-moving environment.
- Good problem-solving ability with the confidence to handle issues connected to sales, marketing, and business development.
- Genuine interest in building a career in sales within an organization that supports growth and development.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools and LinkedIn.
