Job description

About the role

This position is based in Dublin and follows a hybrid working model, so you’ll split your time between home and a LinkedIn office on designated days depending on business needs.

Sales Development is positioned as the starting point for a long-term career in sales. The team focuses on preparing people to become strong sales professionals through coaching, structured development, and exposure to LinkedIn’s Sales Academy. Many team members progress into the broader sales organization, and some move into leadership roles within the company.

The team’s purpose is to be the first touchpoint for customers and help build future relationships. The goal is to support growth and customer value through operational discipline and strategic collaboration. The environment is geared toward people who want to use modern technologies, contribute to business growth, and begin their sales career in a high-performance setting.

Responsibilities

  • Build working relationships with Account Executives, Account Directors, and teammates while following engagement rules, resolving conflicts, and collaborating on business challenges.
  • Agree on account focus areas, target lists, and success measures with internal stakeholders to keep ownership shared and execution efficient.
  • Promote a cooperative team environment by demonstrating strong partnership behaviors within the immediate team.
  • Represent LinkedIn’s values and culture in day-to-day work while aligning priorities with managers and partners.
  • Use product and business knowledge to understand customer needs and identify pain points.
  • Carry out structured outreach plans and apply prospecting best practices to maintain steady engagement with prospects.
  • Develop familiarity with LinkedIn products and use qualification methods such as BANT to gather key information and support opportunity creation.
  • Establish trust with prospects by clearly explaining the sales process and next steps, while listening carefully to concerns and objections.
  • Experiment with outreach approaches, prioritize accounts and leads, and use targeted activity to improve response rates.
  • Create coaching plans tied to development goals, act on feedback, and continuously improve performance.
  • Use A/B testing and prospecting analytics to refine messaging, study conversion patterns, and share insights with cross-functional partners.
  • Apply written rules of engagement to handle routine conflicts and escalate issues when needed, while using prospect pain points to sharpen contact strategies.
  • Meet monthly and quarterly targets by linking daily activity to core KPIs.
  • Maintain structured success plans with milestones, daily goals, and tactics, using data to monitor and improve effectiveness.
  • Share quarterly projections, understand customer decision-making processes, and anticipate timing or blockers.
  • Bring business context and value into outreach and team conversations, and provide validated opportunity inputs to support accurate forecasting.
  • Identify and pursue high-potential opportunities using inbound or outbound prioritization, early buying signals, and qualification criteria.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in sales, business development, recruiting, lead generation, or sales operations, or a High School Diploma/GED/equivalent.
  • Professional fluency in both French and English.
  • Preferred: 6+ months of experience using CRM or ERP platforms such as Salesforce, Dynamics, or HubSpot.

Eligibility

This opportunity is open to candidates who meet the language requirement and either have relevant experience or the stated educational equivalent. It is intended for applicants who can work from Dublin in a hybrid setup.
