Overview
This entry-level role is ideal for individuals new to customer service who want to develop a career in a dynamic, technology-focused environment. As a Sales Customer Support Advisor, you'll serve as the first point of contact for customers reaching out via digital and phone channels, focusing primarily on inbound communication without managing sales pipelines.
Core Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls, emails, and SMS messages from customers in a clear, helpful manner aligned with Tesla's brand values.
- Provide accurate information on Tesla products, order status, and ownership queries, directing complex issues to senior advisors when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of interactions and update customer management systems.
- Support customer-facing activities on weekends, including assisting with test drives, vehicle delivery handovers, and participation in events to generate leads.
- Engage in continuous learning through onboarding, training, shadowing experienced advisors, and participating in coaching and knowledge updates.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- No prior sales or automotive experience needed; enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, and strong communication skills are essential.
- Availability to work a minimum of 18 hours per week across at least three shifts including occasional weekends.
- Currently studying or recently graduated from university, TAFE, or equivalent.
- Passion for technology and innovation with alignment to Tesla's mission.
- Proficient English communication skills, able to adjust tone based on context.
- Ability to multitask, maintain composure in a busy setting, and work independently and collaboratively.
- Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, with basic computer skills and a willingness to learn new tools.
- Legal right to work in Australia, including holders of valid student visas with work rights.
- Customer service, retail, or hospitality experience is advantageous.
