About the role
Platypus Shoes is seeking an enthusiastic retail team member to join its Richmond Mall store in Tasman, New Zealand. The position sits within the Accent Group network, a large footwear business operating across Australia and New Zealand with more than 900 stores, 34 brands, and 30+ online platforms.
As part of the store team, you will assist the management group in lifting sales performance, keeping operations running smoothly, and contributing to the overall success of the store.
Responsibilities
- Support the management team in day-to-day store operations.
- Help drive sales results and contribute to operational standards.
- Deliver memorable customer service and create a strong shopping experience.
- Work collaboratively in a busy, high-energy retail environment.
- Use feedback positively and stay focused on meeting sales targets.
Requirements
- Proven customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or supermarket retail.
- Strong interest in streetwear and sneaker culture.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and energetic team setting.
- Self-driven approach with the motivation to exceed targets.
- Good listening skills and openness to constructive feedback.
- Full availability for late-night trading and weekends.
