Job description

Role Overview

This position is a full-time leadership opportunity focused on growing membership, improving retention, and keeping member movement strong within the club. Reporting to the General Manager, the role combines sales leadership, team coaching, and club-wide support to ensure members enjoy a smooth experience from their very first visit. You will act as the club’s champion for sales performance, set the standard through your own approach, and help build productive relationships both inside the gym and in the local community.

Key Duties

  • Promote and execute the FUNDAMENTALS sales approach, while training and coaching colleagues to perform at a high level.
  • Increase new memberships and strengthen retention to support ongoing member growth.
  • Manage the club activity plan, making sure campaigns and initiatives are organised, delivered well, and produce results.
  • Develop inventive lead-generation methods across both internal and external channels.
  • Track dashboards and performance indicators, share useful insights with the team, and keep progress aligned with targets.
  • Support revenue growth across memberships, product sales, and secondary spend to improve overall profitability.
  • Prepare and present monthly sales updates to the wider management group.
  • Build local commercial partnerships and grow opportunities through #WeMoveBusinesses.
  • Set the pace on the reception desk and gym floor in a visible, member-facing leadership role.
  • Take part in national campaigns such as #WorkoutWednesday and #WeCommunicate.
  • Offer clear, constructive feedback to team members to help strengthen performance and development.
  • Assist the General Manager with operational responsibilities, including health and safety, facilities, maintenance, recruitment, and site presentation.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant is enthusiastic about health, fitness, and wellbeing, with a track record of leading others and helping them improve. You should bring a strong commercial focus, especially around sales and retention, and be comfortable working toward ambitious targets. Strong verbal and interpersonal communication is important, along with the ability to adapt your style for different people and situations. The role also calls for a positive, practical mindset, resilience when under pressure, and a genuine drive to progress into broader leadership responsibilities. Flexibility is required for evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays, depending on business needs.

Benefits and Rewards

  • Complimentary gym membership.
  • 20% staff discount across all Frasers Group brands.
  • Eligibility for the Fearless 1000 Bonus Scheme.
  • Monthly Frasers Champion awards, with winners receiving double pay for that month.
  • Recognition through the Everlast Gyms Monthly Champions programme.
  • Access to training and funded qualifications, including Level 3 and Level 5 Management & Leadership courses.
  • Opportunities to build fitness knowledge through product training, along with the possibility of delivering PT and group training sessions.

Working Culture

The organisation describes this as a role for someone willing to think boldly, move quickly, and lead with confidence. Team members are expected to own their responsibilities, take pride in the basics, and focus on meaningful results. The business also emphasises staying relevant to people, partners, and the wider world.
