Safety forms a fundamental pillar of KONE's operations and company ethos. To strengthen the Safety Culture and advance safe working practices, KONE is seeking a Safety Specialist to join the Riyadh team.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the deployment, upkeep, and enhancement of KONE’s safety management system encompassing employees, users, and external parties.
- Promote and embody a safety-conscious culture through active engagement and role-modeling.
- Develop, organize, and update safety-related documents alongside the unit safety team.
- Participate actively in safety committees and forums within the unit to contribute to discussions and initiatives.
- Provide expert advice and support concerning safety issues within the unit.
- Plan and execute projects aimed at advancing safety standards.
- Collaborate with customers and partners, including subcontractors, to ensure safety compliance.
- Aid in the formulation, review, and testing of crisis and emergency response strategies.
- Oversee the monitoring and evolution of safety risk management processes and tools.
- Assist with safety-related change management projects.
- Collect and validate safety performance data, reporting key metrics.
- Keep abreast of legal and industry safety regulations and recommend necessary actions.
- Conduct routine safety audits to ensure compliance and identify uncontrolled risks.
- Support management with safety audits and aid in streamlining audit procedures.
- Investigate incidents thoroughly and work to improve investigation processes.
- Manage corrective and preventive measures to drive continuous safety improvements.
- Enhance own safety expertise through ongoing development in collaboration with management.
- Assist in training and developing safety skills among unit members.
- Proactively share safety information, including incident analyses and best practices.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
- At least five years of professional experience in safety roles within elevator, construction, or related sectors.
- NEBOSH and IOSH certifications are compulsory.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and training skills.
- Passion for safety and strong ability to foster a safety-first culture.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic languages.
