Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site Safety Officer position in Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for monitoring everyday site operations to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements as well as internal company procedures. The Safety Officer will actively identify risks, carry out inspections, recommend and follow through on corrective measures, and help build a strong safety-first culture across the project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check site activities on a regular basis to confirm compliance with HSE rules and company policies.
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections, identify unsafe conditions, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing awareness sessions for workers and staff.
  • Keep safety logs, reports, records, and other documentation accurate and up to date.
  • Assist in investigating accidents and incidents, including reporting, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
  • Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and frontline teams to encourage safe work practices.
  • Support emergency readiness measures and participate in preparedness activities.
  • Coordinate and communicate with authorities or client representatives on safety-related matters when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Sound knowledge of health and safety, occupational health, standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Experience in accident investigation, incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Awareness of site security measures and general risk-control practices.
  • Ability to design and deliver safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks.
  • Safety credentials such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or an equivalent qualification are expected.
  • Exposure to construction or industrial project environments is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal ability to influence safe behavior across varied teams.
  • Capability to work on site in challenging conditions, handle several priorities, and react quickly in emergencies.
  • Comfort using basic reporting and documentation tools.
  • English language proficiency is required; Arabic will be an added advantage.
