Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site Safety Officer position in Rajasthan, India. The role is responsible for managing everyday health, safety, and security practices at the site while ensuring alignment with local legal requirements, company standards, and client expectations. The position requires active monitoring of site conditions, prompt identification of risks, and consistent follow-through on corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Safety Officer will carry out routine inspections, spot hazards, and recommend measures to reduce or eliminate risk. The role also includes checking that safety controls are properly implemented and sustained. In addition, the officer will conduct safety inductions and training sessions, coordinate drills, and encourage safe behavior among employees, contractors, and visitors. Incident and near-miss investigations, accurate documentation, reporting, and support for ongoing improvement in occupational health and safety performance are also core parts of the job. Where needed, the officer will work with local authorities and support security-related coordination.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of health and safety principles, occupational safety regulations, and industry best practices. Experience with accident investigation, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive action tracking, and security coordination is important. The role also calls for the ability to plan and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives for varied audiences. A diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or a related discipline is required, and certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are preferred. Background in facilities, real estate, construction, or property management will be an added advantage. Strong communication, reporting, attention to detail, problem-solving, and proactive risk management skills are essential.
Work Environment
The position is site-based in Rajasthan, India, and requires comfort working on location. The role may also call for quick response to urgent safety concerns when situations demand it.
