Job description
Role overview
In this position, you will help protect people, premises, and sensitive information by supporting security operations at Google’s Singapore site. The role sits at the intersection of physical security, incident handling, and risk assessment, and requires someone who can uphold strict confidentiality while still delivering a strong customer-service mindset. You will work closely with the Facilities Management team to strengthen security practices, respond to incidents, and shape longer-term protection strategies.
This is a rotating-shift role with four 12-hour working days each week. The schedule includes weekends and public holidays.
Minimum qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in law enforcement, intelligence, military service, or a comparable private-sector security role.
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on exposure to security tools such as CCTV, access control platforms, and incident management systems.
- Awareness of global geopolitical developments and the ability to recognize new threats and risk patterns.
- The ability to manage highly sensitive information with strong ethics, sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism.
- Strong capability in problem-solving, written and verbal communication, and people management.
- Sharp critical-thinking skills and a solid track record in decision-making.
What you will do
- Support incident response efforts and carry out standard investigations into security-related issues.
- Follow procedures to identify, assess, and reduce threats while contributing to crisis management and threat analysis.
- Help run physical and digital security operations, including associated systems and programs.
- Recommend improvements and put them into practice based on feedback and operational learnings.
- Assist data users by maintaining reports, queries, and dashboards as needed.

Preference will be given to applicants who already have the right to work in Singapore and do not need visa sponsorship from Google.
