Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Rust Open Source Contributor to join our team remotely. This contractor role requires contributing high-quality code, reviews, and documentation to open-source projects aligned with our client's objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and submit production-level code, conduct reviews, and produce documentation for open-source repositories linked to customer projects.
- Design, build, and optimize sophisticated algorithms and system modules using one or multiple languages from C++, Python, Java, GoLang, TypeScript, or Rust.
- Detect and fix technical issues, bugs, and performance limitations in existing software components.
- Work collaboratively with fellow contributors and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet goals and follow best practices.
- Prepare, update, and improve technical documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and onboarding.
- Engage in code review discussions and offer constructive critiques to improve code quality overall.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with large-scale, distributed software codebases.
- Understanding of modern AI or machine learning frameworks is advantageous but not mandatory.
- History of involvement in thorough code reviews and contribution to establishing software development best practices.
