About the Property
Mantra Chatswood is located in Chatswood’s business and retail precinct, just north of Sydney’s central business district. The hotel features studio-style rooms, along with one- and two-bedroom apartments, plus a heated indoor lap pool for guests. When you have time off, the Sydney Harbour and North Shore area offer plenty to explore, from scenic views and amusement rides to food spots and local markets.
Role Purpose
In this housekeeping role, you will help create a memorable guest experience by keeping rooms spotless, noticing the smallest details, and supporting the team in delivering warm hospitality. Your work will help ensure guests enjoy a comfortable and well-maintained stay.
Key Duties
- Clean guest rooms thoroughly, including replacing linens, sanitising bathrooms, and wiping all surfaces to leave a strong first impression.
- Carry out tasks according to the property’s housekeeping standards and procedures.
- Keep housekeeping trolleys stocked, tidy, and ready for use.
- Handle cleaning products responsibly and follow all safety requirements.
- Protect guest privacy and maintain security at all times.
- Escalate maintenance concerns quickly to help preserve the quality of the guest experience.
Experience and Skills
Prior work as a cleaner or room attendant will be considered an advantage. You should communicate in a friendly, approachable way and enjoy working with guests and colleagues. Strong attention to detail, good time management, and an efficient work style are important. This is a physically active position, and moving between rooms may involve internal and external stairways as well as open walkways. You should also be comfortable working with people from different backgrounds.
