Position Summary

The Room Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining guest room standards by ensuring cleanliness and replenishing necessary supplies. This seasonal full-time role demands attentiveness to detail, a proactive approach in enhancing guest comfort, swift response to inquiries or concerns, and safeguarding guest privacy and belongings.

Key Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, bed-making, linen replacement, vacuuming, bathroom sanitization, interior window washing, cleaning of coffee pots ensuring they are plugged in, sink and fixture cleaning, and inspection beneath beds, drawers, and closets for forgotten items or trash.
• Restocking room amenities and maintaining the linen supply area with fresh linens for upcoming use, ensuring all towels, soaps, glasses, comment cards, coffee supplies, and related items are well stocked.
• Rearranging furniture based on guest usage.
• Introducing personalized touches to elevate the guest experience.
• Promptly and courteously addressing requests, questions, and complaints from guests and staff.
• Ensuring the privacy and security of guests and their possessions.
• Logging and properly tagging any lost property found in rooms in the designated storage area.
• Staying informed on all cleaning chemicals and products and their correct handling protocols.
• Utilizing cleaning equipment and supplies safely and appropriately.
• Reporting issues such as maintenance needs, burned-out bulbs, plumbing concerns, or suspicious activities to supervisors or management.
• Keeping accurate records of cleaned rooms.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles.
• Ability to efficiently perform duties within fast-paced, time-sensitive settings.
• Strong organizational skills coupled with high energy.
• Capability to recognize and respond to safety hazards appropriately.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Adherence to directions with precision and efficiency.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Physical stamina enough to stand, reach, stretch, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation and Benefits

At Naturally Pacific Resort, employees enjoy a supportive and respectful workplace focused on professional growth and wellbeing. Pay ranges from eighteen dollars and twenty-five cents to twenty dollars per hour, determined by the individual's skills, education, and experience.
