About The Role
Step into a dynamic role as a Roadside Rescue Mechanic with The AA, where you play a vital part in getting drivers back on the road safely. Serving as the frontline representative for the UK's largest motoring organization, you will assist customers in various weather conditions and locations, providing expert technical support and excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Start and end shifts from your own driveway with paid time for travel to and from assignments.
- Operate independently across diverse settings, whilst maintaining strong communication and support within the team environment.
- Apply your mechanical expertise and clear communication skills to ensure a positive experience for customers during roadside assistance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve a broad range of vehicular issues on site using your technical knowledge and steady approach.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent credential accompanied by relevant experience.
- Hold a full Category B driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Demonstrate confidence in adopting and utilizing new technological tools provided during the role.
- Exhibit flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, accommodating the unpredictable nature of breakdowns.
Working Hours and Earnings
This role is part-time with an approximate 40-hour workweek. Various shift patterns are available, allowing you to choose schedules that suit your personal and professional life. Year 1 guaranteed earnings total £40,270 inclusive of allowances, with on-target earnings up to £60,000 depending on performance and hours worked.
