Position Overview
Seeking a dynamic Roadside Rescue Mechanic to join The AA, the UK's premier motoring organisation, based in Little London, England. This role involves being the dependable and friendly face for stranded drivers, providing essential mechanical assistance and ensuring safe journeys for members.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Begin and conclude each shift from your own driveway with paid van usage time counted from departure to return.
- Operate autonomously across different locations and challenging conditions while remaining connected with a supportive team environment.
- Utilize your technical expertise and effective communication to foster positive interactions with customers during roadside assistance.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve diverse mechanical issues directly at the roadside, maintaining composure in various situations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or possess equivalent qualifications alongside relevant experience.
- Possession of a full category B driving license with no more than 6 penalty points is mandatory.
- Comfortable and willing to embrace new technologies provided as part of the role.
- Flexible to work various shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays to accommodate unpredictable breakdown timings.
