Risk Operations Specialist - Platform Trust and Ecosystem, TikTok LIVE

About the Role and Team

The Ecosystem and Governance Team at TikTok LIVE centers on managing the content ecosystem governance for the LIVE platform. Positioned as the intermediary platform, the team is committed to delivering comprehensive solutions and capacity building to address ecosystem challenges strategically. Their key objective is to enhance user experience and support the sustainable growth of TikTok LIVE's business.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and continuously refine frameworks for risk management and governance within monetization and LIVE platform environments.
• Recognize structural weaknesses, ambiguous behaviors, and control deficiencies; lead mitigation efforts across operations and governance functions.
• Detect emerging policy voids and unclear enforcement zones by analyzing operational data, risk patterns, and ecosystem insights.
• Collaborate with policy units to recommend scalable improvements, clarify enforcement protocols, and broaden policy coverage where gaps are evident.
• Develop risk evaluations and business justifications supported by data to guide governance priorities and decisions.
• Engage cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Policy, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and regional teams to implement effective risk governance.
• Ensure governance frameworks align with policy intentions and are feasible, enforceable, and adaptable to new risks.
• Influence product development, tools, and processes to embed integrity-focused designs and curb system abuse.
• Lead discussions on evolving risks, enforcement hurdles, and governance compromises with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least five years' experience in Trust & Safety, Risk Management, Platform Integrity, Governance, Public Policy, Compliance, Fraud, or equivalent roles within digital or technological platforms.
• Proven capability to identify governance or policy shortcomings and to drive alignment on risk mitigation, policy enhancement, or operational measures.
• Experience collaborating with Policy, Legal, Compliance, Product, or Operations in complex or uncertain contexts.
• Strong analytical and systemic thinking abilities to convert operational insights into broad governance solutions.
• Demonstrated skill in influencing cross-functional teams to act without direct managerial control.
• Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, with strong judgment for high-stakes or urgent risk matters.
• Preferred: background in policy development, governance strategy, or regulatory affairs in technology platforms.
• Preferred: experience in live streaming, digital ecosystems, creator environments, payments, or online monetization.
• Preferred: knowledge of platform abuse methods, fraud risks, or policy circumvention techniques.
• Preferred: experience in global or multi-market settings and supporting Middle East or Arabic-speaking markets, including engagement with local stakeholders and market-specific risk evaluation.
