Role Overview
The Risk Management Officer is accountable for directing all risk and safety initiatives across the healthcare facility. This includes budgeting, strategic program development and execution, and risk evaluation. The role’s main goal is to build and uphold a risk-mitigation framework that ensures organizational continuity, compliance, and a safe environment for patients, employees, and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the risk management department by setting strategic vision and department goals.
- Create, implement, and assess risk and safety programs, including business continuity plans.
- Identify areas prone to loss and develop measures to reduce liabilities and protection of assets.
- Oversee occupational health and safety initiatives, including emergency preparedness, disease screening, and health promotion.
- Coordinate efforts among clinical, administrative, and external agencies to enhance safety and emergency response.
- Develop and revise safety standards, protocols, and continuous improvement processes.
- Ensure adherence to accreditation and local regulatory standards through inspections and compliance management.
- Manage training programs for staff education on safety and emergency protocols.
- Chair safety and disaster preparedness committees and maintain communication with local authorities.
- Maintain confidentiality, comply with facility and health authority policies, and promote customer service excellence.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in related fields like Science or Nursing; Master’s preferred in Management or Healthcare Sciences.
- At least 5 years' healthcare experience including team leadership roles.
- Proficient with investigation methodologies, root cause analysis, and quality improvement tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

This position is full-time and based onsite in Dubai, UAE, within Al-Futtaim’s healthcare division, HealthHub Clinics. The role demands continuous skill enhancement and active collaboration across departments to uphold health and safety standards and support organizational growth.
