Overview
Join a leading Fortune Global 500 company by becoming a Revenue Recovery Package Handler at UPS in Caledon, Ontario. This position is integral to protecting company revenue through precise handling and accurate data validation of packages, contributing to the efficiency and safety of shipping operations.
Key Duties
- Utilize approved systems like NSDS, DWS, and handheld scanners to scan, weigh, and measure packages with accuracy.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies regarding package weight, size, service level, or missing information to ensure proper billing and compliance.
- Adhere strictly to UPS revenue recovery guidelines and audit procedures to maintain data integrity and prevent revenue loss.
- Practice safe lifting, moving, pushing, and positioning of packages, following UPS ergonomics and safety protocols.
- Maintain clear communication lines with Operations staff, Clerks, and Supervisors about exceptions, system issues, or package irregularities.
- Meet or surpass productivity standards, quality control, and valid scanning targets.
- Promptly report any damaged packages or technical problems with systems.
- Keep the work environment clean, well-organized, and safe.
- Observe all company policies including safety regulations and security requirements.
Qualifications
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Basic proficiency with computers and capability to operate scanning and dimensioning tools.
- Strong focus on detail and precision in tasks.
- Thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven work settings.
- Dependable with punctuality and willingness to work scheduled shift hours.
