About the Role
Join Oracle Health to advance human-centered healthcare by integrating clinical, operational, and financial data for improved decision-making. As a Revenue Cycle Consultant, you will support our ITWorks team by enhancing and maintaining revenue cycle modules, focusing on Registration, Scheduling, Charge Services, Patient Accounting, and Health Information Management within healthcare systems. This role combines hands-on technical tasks with deep functional knowledge of revenue cycle management (RCM) processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and upkeep modules related to patient registration, scheduling appointments, billing, and claim submissions.
- Develop and manage system components aligned with clinical and financial standards.
- Maintain health plan configurations, manage contractual discounts, and enforce claim submission deadlines in compliance with payer policies and regulations.
- Analyze and optimize revenue cycle workflows to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy in financial transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify challenges and design system-based solutions.
- Provide expert guidance on RCM designs, dependencies, and workflow impacts to business stakeholders.
- Support and resolve integration issues between Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and external platforms.
- Design, code, and implement system improvements using Java, DiscernDev, Custom MPage Development, and CCL/Custom Reporting tools.
- Engage with healthcare leadership and finance to align configurations with strategic revenue cycle goals.
- Offer post-implementation support, including optimization and troubleshooting of RCM functions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of experience working within Healthcare Information Systems with a focus on Revenue Cycle Management.
- Expertise in Revenue Cycle modules such as Registration, Scheduling, Charge Services, Patient Accounting, and Health Information Management.
- Experience with Health Insurance Processing systems (e.g., Riayati, DHPO), including monitoring and troubleshooting transactions.
- Technical proficiency in CCL scripting, MPage development, DiscernDev platform, and Java programming.
- Strong knowledge of health plan configurations, claims processing workflows, charge capturing, and discount management.
