Role Summary
The Revenue & Business Analyst is pivotal to the organization's revenue enhancement, business intelligence, reporting, and automation projects. Embedded within a streamlined analytics team and reporting to senior leadership, this role entails upkeep and advancement of dashboards, reports, analytical algorithms, and automation systems to empower commercial decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Design, update, and refine Power BI dashboards and reports covering revenue, pricing, sales, inventory, and operations.
- Generate novel reports and visual insights reflecting shifting business needs.
- Oversee data integrity, reporting accuracy, and dashboard functionality.
- Fulfill routine and on-demand reporting requirements from stakeholders.
- Document business metrics, KPIs, and reporting methodologies thoroughly.
- Support maintenance and enhancement of analytical models and business algorithms.
- Investigate business performance trends to spot improvement opportunities.
- Cross-verify data outputs and resolve inconsistencies across different reporting tools.
- Contribute analytical insights supporting pricing, inventory, sales, and revenue optimization efforts.
- Partner with leadership to convert operational challenges into analytic solutions.
- Help maintain and iterate internal automation applications, supporting testing and deployment of updates.
- Record workflows, business rules, and system requirements accurately.
- Liaise with IT, development, and business teams to address issues and implement enhancements.
- Act as a deputy to the Director for reporting, dashboard management, and analytic routines.
- Manage regular reporting cycles to ensure timely provision of key commercial intelligence.
- Support strategic projects within the Revenue Analytics & Data Enablement function.
- Keep documentation of data sources, processes, and reporting practices neat and comprehensive.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, or allied fields.
- Between two to five years of professional experience in business analytics, revenue analytics, business intelligence, or comparable analytical disciplines.
- Proven expertise in SQL for querying and validating substantial datasets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for building reports and interactive dashboards.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel functionalities.
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Capability to juggle multiple competing priorities efficiently.
Preferred Skills
- Background in pricing strategies, revenue management, sales analytics, or commercial operational support.
- Knowledge of data warehousing principles and ETL workflow processes.
- Experience using automation platforms, workflow automation tools, or low-code development environments.
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or enterprise-wide reporting systems.
- Understanding of or experience in the aviation, aftermarket, distribution, or industrial sectors.
