Job description
Role Overview
Ribbon Communications is hiring a Revenue Accountant to support accurate revenue accounting and reporting for a customer portfolio in line with US GAAP. This position is based in the Galway Metropolitan Area and is a full-time onsite role.
What You’ll Do
- Assess customer agreements and related revenue arrangements to confirm revenue is recorded under US GAAP, including ASC 606.
- Own a group of customer accounts and work closely with Sales and Services teams to review quarterly forecasts and expected revenue.
- Carry out quarter-end close tasks, including the creation and documentation of revenue journal entries in line with SOX controls.
- Prepare, review, and reconcile revenue-related balance sheet accounts to maintain accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.
- Examine customer legal agreements to spot terms that may affect revenue recognition.
- Keep audit support files complete, accurate, and well-organized for internal and external review.
- Collaborate with teams in Finance, Sales, Legal, and Operations to support smooth day-to-day execution.
- Produce revenue reports that are accurate, timely, and efficient.
- Look for ways to improve processes, including supporting automation and system enhancement efforts.
- Contribute to ad hoc assignments and ongoing improvement projects as needed.
