Job description
Job Overview
This role focuses on supporting various activities related to retort validation and ensuring compliance with USFDA standards in food processing. The candidate will be responsible for conducting validation studies, performing heat distribution and penetration trials, and verifying routine retort records. Additionally, they will compile F6 data, maintain calibration records, and manage documentation related to the USFDA Food Contact Establishment (FCE), Scheduled Inspection Data (SID), and scheduled processing protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting retort validation studies to ensure process efficacy.
- Perform heat distribution and heat penetration tests to validate thermal processes.
- Regularly verify and audit retort operation records for compliance.
- Collect and compile F6 data relevant to thermal processing safety.
- Maintain calibration records of equipment and ensure accuracy of measurement tools.
- Manage documentation related to USFDA FCE, SID, and scheduled food processing protocols to ensure regulatory compliance.
Candidate Requirements
- Educational background in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology or a closely related discipline, with a B.Tech., B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in thermal processing or food safety documentation.
- Fresh graduates with solid understanding of thermal processing methods and food safety documentation will also be considered.
