About the role
Aveo is seeking a Domestic Attendant (Cleaner) for the Clayfield Retirement Village in Albion, Queensland. This is a permanent full-time position, scheduled Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The village is a close-knit retirement community with landscaped gardens and private apartments, and the role sits at the heart of creating a clean, welcoming environment for residents.
You will be part of a friendly, service-oriented team and will help foster genuine connections with residents while supporting their day-to-day comfort and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Keep shared village areas clean and well-presented, including bathrooms, hallways, staircases, rooms, and other public spaces.
- Represent the village in a warm, approachable manner and help build positive relationships with residents.
- Support residents and the wider community with general ad-hoc duties when needed.
- Work in line with OH&S requirements and quickly escalate any safety or security issues.
What we’re looking for
- Prior experience in cleaning, laundry, or a similar customer-facing service role.
- A respectful, positive, and people-first attitude, with a genuine focus on resident support.
- The ability to work independently, stay organised, and manage daily priorities confidently.
- Proof of at least two COVID-19 vaccinations.
