About the role
At Ampol, people are at the heart of the business. As a major convenience retailer in Australia, the company focuses on making every customer visit simple, friendly, and efficient, whether customers are refuelling, picking up everyday items, or making a quick stop.
What you will do
In this position, you will help keep the store running smoothly by supporting merchandising, managing stock, and maintaining inventory control. You will also process point-of-sale transactions and balance cash at the end of shifts to ensure accuracy and security.
Key responsibilities
- Place customers first and aim to deliver service that goes beyond expectations.
- Assist the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the site using your retail experience.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to maintain a productive store environment.
- Follow safe work practices and maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Be available for weekend and overnight shifts when rostered.
Requirements
- Retail or customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to use a POS system and complete cash handling accurately.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Willingness to work across a 7-day roster, including nights and weekends.

Pay rates for retail Team Member roles are governed by the Vehicle Repair, Services and Retail Award 2020; candidates can review the current rates in section 16 of that award.
