Job description
Role overview
Ampol is looking for a retail team member to join the Warners Bay store. The role sits within one of Australia’s major convenience retail networks, where the focus is on helping customers quickly and courteously whether they are purchasing fuel, picking up everyday items, or making a brief stop.
What you will be doing
In this position, you will help keep the store running smoothly by supporting merchandising standards, managing stock, and assisting with inventory control. You will also process sales through the POS system and complete cash balancing at the end of each shift with accuracy and care.
Core duties
- Provide helpful, friendly service that aims to go beyond customer expectations.
- Assist the store manager with day-to-day retail operations.
- Work cooperatively with the wider team to maintain an efficient store environment.
- Maintain strong focus on safety, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and overnight shifts when required.
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have prior exposure to retail or customer service, along with the ability to use point-of-sale systems and manage cash correctly. Good communication skills, a team-first attitude, and flexibility to work across a seven-day roster are important for success in this role.
