Job description
Role Overview
Ghanda Clothing is looking for a Retail Store Manager to take charge of the Carindale, Queensland store and help guide the local team. This position is designed for someone who can lead from the front, keep the store performing well, and create a positive environment for both customers and staff.
What You’ll Do
- Coach, lead, and develop a team of up to 20 people.
- Bring the company’s values to life through day-to-day leadership in store.
- Keep the store looking sharp and aligned with visual merchandising standards and brand direction.
- Work with the Stock Allocator, and independently where needed, to keep stock levels balanced and make the best use of floor space.
- Set up and review rosters, sales performance, and store and team compliance.
What the Role Offers
- A 38-hour work week with no fixed annual salary; pay is based on the hours worked, and overtime penalties apply if ordinary hours are exceeded.
- A strong remuneration package including clothing and phone allowances, plus a monthly bonus plan.
- Unlimited clothing discounts for you and your immediate family.
- Team engagement activities such as training nights, quarterly feedback surveys, modern learning resources, and peer-nominated awards.
- Clear growth pathways, with opportunities to progress into Store Manager, Visual Merchandiser, Stock Coordinator, Cluster Manager, Regional Manager, or State Manager roles.
About the Company
Founded in Torquay, Victoria in the early 2000s, Ghanda Clothing grew from a simple idea: to create affordable, high-quality clothing that the market did not already offer. Today, it is a well-known Australian-owned and operated brand with more than 100 stores nationwide.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate brings proven leadership experience, leads by example, and motivates others in a way that reflects the company’s values. A strong customer-first mindset, solid retail fundamentals, and a serious approach to store performance are important. Previous experience in retail or hospitality is helpful, but the team places greater value on attitude than on background.
