Role Overview

The Retail Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for driving receiving and merchandising execution, making sure store associates process freight efficiently, and helping maintain a well-organized, customer-friendly sales floor and backroom. The role is expected to model strong service standards and support day-to-day store operations.

Key Duties

  • Deliver a strong experience for both internal team members and shoppers.
  • Encourage honesty, integrity, and discretion in daily work.
  • Manage truck unloads and direct merchandise movement to the sales floor as a priority.
  • Coach and develop associates on merchandising and processing procedures.
  • Confirm that items are tagged, hung, secured, and coded correctly.
  • Work with the Coordinator on Duty to keep product flow moving smoothly.
  • Ensure tasks are completed according to the store plan and adjust priorities when needed.
  • Track team productivity and provide coaching when performance needs improvement.
  • Sort and cycle back stock to make replenishment easier.
  • Maintain merchandising standards and signage consistency.
  • Keep the backroom clean, organized, and recovered.
  • Follow recycling rules and hazardous-waste procedures where relevant.
  • Communicate priorities and progress clearly with management and associates.
  • Give and receive recognition as well as constructive feedback.
  • Work with management on training needs that improve associate effectiveness.
  • Comply with labor laws, company policies, and store procedures.
  • Support credit and loyalty program promotion.
  • Help reduce shrink and support store loss-prevention efforts.
  • Promote safety and help maintain a safe workplace.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Candidate Profile

The company is looking for someone who can handle a changing retail environment, communicate well, stay organized, and work effectively with a team. The role also requires the ability to train others, lift heavy items with or without reasonable accommodation, and adapt to shifting priorities or unexpected situations.

Schedule and Working Conditions

This is a flexible retail schedule that may include nights and weekends. The position is based onsite in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Experience Needed

A minimum of 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience is required.

Compensation

The starting pay range for this position is $15.00 to $15.50 per hour. Final starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
