Role Overview
The Merchandise Coordinator supports the store by managing receiving and merchandising activities, keeping the sales floor stocked and organized, and helping the team work efficiently. The role focuses on delivering a strong customer experience, maintaining store standards, and leading by example on service and execution.
Key Duties
- Build a positive experience for both shoppers and store associates.
- Model honesty, integrity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Coordinate truck unloads and prioritize moving product to the sales floor.
- Coach and train associates on merchandising and processing procedures.
- Make sure products are correctly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
- Work closely with the Coordinator on Duty to keep merchandise flowing efficiently.
- Ensure associates finish assignments according to the store plan, adjusting priorities when needed.
- Track team productivity and provide coaching where required.
- Arrange and cycle back stock so replenishment stays efficient.
- Maintain merchandising standards, signage, and overall presentation.
- Keep the backroom orderly, clean, and recovery-ready.
- Follow recycling requirements and hazardous waste procedures where applicable.
- Communicate priorities, updates, and progress clearly with management and associates.
- Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
- Support management with training needs to improve team effectiveness.
- Follow labor laws, company policies, and internal procedures.
- Help promote credit and loyalty initiatives.
- Contribute to shrink reduction efforts and store programs.
- Support safety practices and help maintain a secure work environment.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is organized, communicative, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-moving retail setting. The person should work well with teammates and supervisors, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and be able to coach others.
Work Schedule and Physical Requirements
This position requires a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends. The job also involves lifting heavy items, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Experience Needed
A minimum of 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience is required.

Pay
