Hermès Middle East is hiring a Data Analyst in Dubai to deepen understanding of customer behavior and business performance across six stores in the region. Reporting line and location

The position reports to the Senior Retail Excellence Manager and is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities

The analyst will create and maintain dashboards and reports that explain business performance and customer behavior, including customer journeys and spending trends. The role also involves working with the Group and Europe Data Analytics teams to enrich existing dashboards, while ensuring every report is accurate, consistent, and dependable through strong validation practices. In addition, the analyst must collect evolving business needs from stakeholders and convert them into clear technical specifications for new dashboards and improvements.

A major part of the role is customer data quality. The person in this position will work to improve the quality of the customer database, encourage retail teams to adopt strong customer data-capture practices, monitor the database through dedicated reports and analysis, support the local rollout of group initiatives, and create training materials to help sales teams manage customer data more effectively.

The role also covers customer knowledge and insight generation. The analyst will own customer understanding for the subsidiary by sharing customer- and retail-oriented insights, studying customer patterns and retail outcomes, spotting new behaviors, market developments, and competitive changes, and supporting CRM-based targeting initiatives with detailed customer profiling. The analyst will also help deploy group analytics projects such as segmentation and conduct ad hoc analysis whenever a specific business question or trend requires deeper investigation.

Retail excellence and business performance analysis are also central to the position. The analyst will review key retail indicators on a weekly and monthly basis, including sales, sales by category, traffic, conversion rate, units per transaction, and average basket. Based on these findings, the role requires building recommendations and action plans, aligning performance indicators across stores and teams with group standards, and supporting business reviews, strategic meetings, and management presentations with clear, evidence-based insights.

Experience and qualifications

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Engineering, Science, Data Analysis, or Computer Science, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position. A solid background in statistical methods and social behavior analysis is required, together with strong capability in data analysis and reporting. The role also calls for proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar programming languages, as well as experience using BI and visualization tools such as Power BI and/or IBM Cognos.

Ideal candidates should be analytical and structured in their thinking, comfortable synthesizing information, and able to balance customer focus with business orientation. The role also requires curiosity, flexibility, discretion, confidentiality, and a collaborative team mindset. Strong spoken and written English is mandatory, and candidates who speak multiple languages are preferred; Arabic and French are considered an advantage.
