Job description

Role purpose and impact

This position supports the store in reaching or surpassing sales and profit goals by building strong consumer loyalty, delivering effective customer service and sales support, and carrying out store operations with care and consistency.

Core responsibilities

  • Keep track of store sales, KPI targets, and personal performance goals, and take responsibility for achieving or exceeding them using the resources available in store.
  • Deliver the brand’s customer service standards so shoppers’ expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Act as a strong representative of the brand by consistently demonstrating its attitude and values.
  • Use seasonal brand and product knowledge effectively in customer conversations and sales interactions.
  • Explain product features, benefits, and unique selling points clearly so customers’ needs are addressed and their connection with the brand is strengthened.
  • Follow all established policies and operating procedures.
  • Maintain visual merchandising and in-store communication standards as required.
  • Handle merchandise deliveries efficiently and replenish displays regularly so the full product range is available on the sales floor.
  • Process cash register transactions accurately and without delay.
  • Help reduce loss in both the stockroom and the sales area.
  • Carry out store tasks in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Work cooperatively and respectfully with fellow team members.
  • Complete all required training and apply new learning on the job.
  • Look for coaching and development opportunities to improve performance continuously.

Relationships and work environment

The role works closely with customers, peers, and the supervisor.

Qualifications and experience

  • High school completion is mandatory.
  • About 6 months of experience in a sports or fashion retail setting with customer and commercial focus is preferred.
  • Basic skills in arithmetic, reading and writing, and spoken communication are required.
