Job description
Role overview
In this role, you will collaborate with government school teachers and support them in strengthening their professional practice so they can become more effective educators. The primary emphasis is currently on teachers in primary schools, while work with upper primary school teachers also continues.
Eligibility
- A graduate with at least 5 years of teaching experience, or a postgraduate with at least 2 years of teaching experience.
- Applicants with suitable field experience in the social sector may also be considered.
- Must be prepared to travel within the district or the state.
- Strong working knowledge of both Hindi and English is required.

Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate ongoing professional development programmes for teachers and head teachers.
- Lead sessions on education and society, subject understanding, pedagogy, assessment, and academic leadership.
- Support teacher communities focused on improving learning outcomes for children.
- Promote peer learning by working with groups of teachers on subject-related topics aligned to the curriculum.
- Coordinate collaborative activities such as workshops and melas with teachers.
- Encourage reflective practice through diary writing, critical review of programmes and personal contribution, and collective discussion.
- Assist in the day-to-day management of Teacher Learning Centres across different blocks.
- Help strengthen the Foundation’s culture and values through democratic practices and teamwork.
- Contribute to colleague support, self-development, and district-level initiatives, events, and annual planning.
