Residential Cleaner - Remote Position Based in Chatham, Ontario

Job Overview

This is a part-time, on-call cleaning role based remotely but applicants must reside in Chatham, Ontario to facilitate potential in-person meetings or training sessions as requested. The role supports cleaning assignments across residential properties including move-out, turnover, post-maintenance, and occasional housekeeping services.

Typical Responsibilities

• Perform move-out cleaning for rental homes and vacant units.
• Conduct deep cleaning after maintenance, repairs, or renovations.
• Prepare residences before new occupants arrive.
• Provide housekeeping services for occupied homes when scheduled.
• Clean diverse living areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, hallways, and common spaces.
• Clean detailed areas including appliances, cabinets, closets, baseboards, and windowsills.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, sanitize surfaces, and remove debris.
• Complete a final walkthrough to ensure cleaning quality before closing assignments.
• Take photos upon assignment completion and report any damage or maintenance issues.
• Update assignment statuses using a mobile work application.
• Travel directly between assigned residential properties.

Candidate Requirements

• At least two years of professional residential cleaning experience.
• Ability to independently complete assigned cleaning tasks.
• Experience with move-out, turnover, deep cleaning, or housekeeping services.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing consistent, high-quality work.
• Professional communication skills with customers and operations personnel.
• Own reliable vehicle and cleaning supplies/equipment.
• Possession of a smartphone with GPS, mobile app usage, photo capture, and job update submission capabilities.
• Basic proficiency in English for communication.
• Dependable attendance and strong organizational abilities.
