Role Overview
Quartersawn Design Build is hiring a Residential Architectural Designer to help shape distinctive homeowner experiences through thoughtful design, strong relationships, professionalism, and a positive approach. This is a hands-on residential role focused on custom solutions for homes that are meant to be built, not just drawn.

What You'll Do
- Develop residential design solutions for remodeling projects and custom home improvements.
- Work closely with project managers, field superintendents, and craftspeople to keep designs practical and buildable.
- Contribute creative ideas that lead to unique finishes, materials, and design details.
- Participate in a studio-style team environment where feedback and collaboration are part of the process.
- Help turn concepts into built spaces while staying aligned with the company’s design philosophy.
What They’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is passionate about residential architecture and enjoys creating meaningful spaces that improve everyday life. They should be comfortable working closely with construction teams and open to learning from feedback. A registered architect background or ArchiCAD experience is a plus. At least 4 years of experience in residential work is required.
Additional Information
This position is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Compensation is listed at $75,000 to $125,000 depending on experience, along with benefits such as health insurance, 3 weeks of PTO, 401(k) match, mileage reimbursement, and other related perks.
