Job description
Role overview
The Reservation & Ticketing Agent supports airline customers at the airport by handling reservations, ticketing, ancillary sales and related service tasks with accuracy, customer care and regulatory compliance. The position plays a key part in maintaining service quality, managing financial transactions correctly, and ensuring all work follows airline, airport and applicable authority requirements. Support is needed for both regular service situations and disrupted operations.
Key duties
- Prepare and issue manual as well as system-generated EMDs and other manual documents for customer airlines operating from Zayed International Airport.
- Carry out ticketing activities for customer airlines, including ticket issuance and re-issuance, along with ancillary services through the Amadeus reservations desktop.
- Arrange land transport for passengers affected by disruption.
- Share daily records of issued documents with the relevant finance teams for customer airlines.
- Handle daily cash and credit card sales, complete shift-wise reconciliation, report to the shift DOS on duty, and deposit cash into the appropriate accounts.
- Reply to chargeback cases and other finance/revenue queries with the required supporting documents for customer airlines.
- Prepare sales and revenue reports on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and submit them to the relevant airlines.
- Track and manage stock such as EBTs and MCOs, including control, issuance, segregation, reporting and replenishment.
- Administer hub petty cash by releasing funds with proper approvals and documentation, maintaining the petty cash tracker, and arranging replenishment.
Education and experience
- A degree in any discipline is acceptable; however, aviation, airline management or similar experience is preferred.
- IATA or ticketing and fare calculation certification is required.
- At least 2 years of prior experience in the aviation sector, in an operational setting that included training.
- Strong written and spoken English skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Must be comfortable working in shifts.

This position is open only to UAE nationals. The job is based onsite at Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The role is full time.
