Job description
Role summary
The Ramp Team Leader is responsible for leading frontline ramp operations during aircraft turnaround. This position focuses on the safe, timely, and efficient loading and unloading of aircraft deadload while maintaining strong operational control, service standards, and strict adherence to safety procedures.
Key accountabilities
- Take ownership of safe aircraft deadload loading and unloading activities.
- Act as the main point of contact for team members and drive coordinated teamwork throughout turnaround operations.
- Ensure every standard operating procedure is followed consistently by both personal actions and team performance.
- Promote a strong safety culture across ramp operations and encourage immediate reporting of any hazard, incident, or unsafe condition.
- Support clear communication at all levels, including team briefings and completion of required reports.
- Inspect aircraft contact points on arrival and departure for any signs of damage and escalate irregularities to the Duty Manager.
- Report hazards and operational occurrences to management and raise GSRs in line with corporate requirements when needed.
Education and experience
- A high school diploma is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in airport ground handling is expected.
