Department and Context
The Psychology & Neuroscience department belongs to the School of Science, which also includes environmental, marine, biological, biomedical sciences, medical diagnostics, chemistry, and food science. The school focuses on producing culturally aware graduates with practical skills through relevant coursework while maintaining world-class research output. The department is part of the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences and adheres to Te Aronui, AUT's Te Tiriti framework.
Position Overview
We invite applications for a Research Officer position on a fixed-term, part-time basis (22.5 hours/week for 4 months), located at AUT’s North Campus. The role supports coordination of research for the Pause Breathe Smile mindfulness programme, which is commercially funded by Southern Cross Healthcare Ltd. Candidates with experience in wellbeing or mindfulness interventions, especially the Pause Breathe Smile programme, are encouraged to apply.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant holds a postgraduate qualification in Psychology, Education, Health Science, or a closely related field.
