About the Company

TD2 Oncology is a prominent contract research organization (CRO) specializing exclusively in oncology, dedicated to pioneering innovative treatments and advancing therapies efficiently from preclinical stages through to clinical trials. Established as a subsidiary of the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) in 2003 and located on the Mayo Clinic campus in Scottsdale, Arizona, TD2 has supported over 600 biotech and pharmaceutical clients and contributed to numerous first-in-man oncology medicines, including drugs approved for rare and widespread indications.

Position Overview

The Research Associate II specializing in In Vivo Pharmacology plays a critical role in the nonclinical operations by conducting in vivo pharmacology studies primarily involving rodents. This role also involves carrying out general laboratory and in vitro tasks to support various research activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in vivo pharmacology experiments using rodent models.
  • Keep accurate and thorough laboratory records and documentation.
  • Prepare diligently for study protocols as assigned.
  • Comply strictly with study protocols throughout research execution.
  • Collect and analyze experimental data.
  • Provide weekly updates on progress, results, and upcoming studies during lab meetings.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure functionality.
  • Conduct necropsies and other routine laboratory activities.
  • Collaborate with lab leadership and project managers to ensure effective study preparation and execution.
  • Support other laboratory teams when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline plus at least two years of direct animal research experience, or alternatively, five years of direct animal research experience without a degree.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in handling rodents and conducting procedures specifically related to cancer pharmacology.
  • Competent in tissue culture and various in vitro assays.
  • Experienced with standard laboratory techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
