Job Overview
This part-time position supports research activities in Dr. Robinson-Papp's Neurology lab at Mount Sinai Morningside, providing essential assistance under close supervision. The role primarily involves preparation, maintenance, and record keeping to facilitate successful research projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up laboratory experiments following established protocols.
- Manage the inventory of research materials and supplies, including ordering necessary reagents and equipment.
- Conduct routine upkeep and maintenance of lab instruments to ensure proper functioning.
- Clean and sterilize glassware to maintain laboratory hygiene and safety standards.
- Prepare specimens and basic chemical solutions as required for experiments.
- Perform additional related tasks to support research operations.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum education required: High school diploma or GED.
- No prior experience is required; training will be provided.
Compensation
The hourly wage for this role ranges from $16.50 to $22.00, depending on qualifications and operational necessities.
