Position Overview

We are searching for a dedicated individual to join the Child Health and Human Development Program to support research efforts centered around child health equity and pediatrics. This role involves collaboration in co-design, recruitment, facilitation, and management of research activities emphasizing youth and community engagement and fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).

Key Duties

• Organize and lead co-design sessions engaging youth, researchers, and community stakeholders.
• Contribute to planning and executing EDI initiatives within national research networks.
• Handle participant recruitment and study management for child health-related research.
• Assist in developing mixed-methods and community-based participatory research protocols.
• Support drafting research protocols and scientific manuscripts.
• Manage ethics and contract procedures with relevant boards including approvals, amendments, and renewals.
• Collaborate closely with national research teams and engage with diverse community partners.
• Conduct collection and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative research data.
• Perform comprehensive literature reviews, including systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
• Supervise volunteers and trainees involved in research projects.
• Participate in activities that translate research findings to knowledge mobilization efforts.

Qualifications and Expertise

• Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related health field.
• Minimum two years' experience in health research.
• Fluency in both oral and written French and English, with advanced communication abilities to interact with researchers and students, and to produce detailed research documentation.
• Proven experience in community-based participatory research and co-design methodologies.
• Background in clinical research as well as quantitative and qualitative research techniques.
• Experience working with Indigenous communities is essential.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and qualitative analysis software such as NVivo.
• Prior experience at RI-MUHC or involvement with multicultural communities is considered an advantage.

Additional Information

• Employment type: Temporary, full-time (35 hours per week).
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Work location: Primarily at 5252 de Maisonneuve Blvd. and Glen Site at 1001 Blvd. Décarie, Montreal with hybrid flexibility (both onsite and remote).
