Overview

This part-time, fixed-term role at HEW Level 5 is based at the Parramatta South Campus with flexible work arrangements. The position focuses on supporting AI-driven research into urban heat patterns, specifically analyzing the relationship between surface materials and temperature. The salary range is $85,778 to $97,006 per year plus 17% superannuation and leave loading.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, organize, and manage urban heat data for selected locations across New South Wales.
  • Conduct literature reviews and database searches to support data analysis.
  • Apply standard analytical methods to investigate surface materials' impact on temperature.
  • Maintain detailed records and prepare timely progress reports for project monitoring and team discussions.
  • Compile research findings to contribute to the final report and develop presentation materials for stakeholders.
  • Respond to inquiries related to data collection and analysis.
  • Provide laboratory support and assist students with routine tasks as needed.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in construction, built environment, or technical projects.
  • Capability to perform literature reviews and basic data analysis using established methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly present information.
  • Effective organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under general supervision.
