Role overview
This position is focused on gathering, examining, and interpreting market, industry, and business data to produce insights that can guide strategy, product planning, marketing activity, and overall growth. The work involves converting both numerical and non-numerical research into practical recommendations that help teams make informed decisions.
What you will do
- Carry out detailed research across markets, industries, competitors, and business topics to support planning and growth initiatives.
- Study quantitative and qualitative data to understand trends, customer behavior, and competitive positioning.
- Translate research outputs into clear business recommendations that can be used by leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Work with strategy, marketing, product, sales, finance, and senior management teams to identify opportunities and assess market potential.
- Track industry changes, monitor key business indicators, and contribute to data-backed decision-making.
- Design research approaches, create and manage surveys, and ensure the quality of research execution.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards that summarize findings for stakeholders.
- Build and maintain KPI tracking and support ongoing improvements to research methods and intelligence processes.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a similar field is required.
- Prior experience in market research, business research, consumer insights, business intelligence, strategy, or data analytics is expected.
- Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods, survey creation, sampling, statistics, and market intelligence is important.
- Hands-on experience with competitor analysis, segmentation, market sizing, forecasting trends, pricing analysis, and consumer research is needed.
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, SPSS, or similar analytics platforms is required.
- Experience using research and data sources such as Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Nielsen, Euromonitor, Statista, Google Trends, or comparable tools is valuable.
- You should be comfortable handling several research projects at once while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and the skill to turn complex data into usable recommendations are essential.
- Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills are needed for executive reports, dashboards, and strategic presentations.
- Experience with predictive analytics, CX research, digital analytics, or AI-assisted research tools is an advantage.
- Professional certifications in business analytics, market research, data analysis, or project management are a plus.
- The ideal candidate is inquisitive, detail-oriented, results-focused, and motivated by discovering market opportunities through research.
