About the Role

Oracle Life Sciences is seeking a Research Analyst specializing in Healthcare and Life Sciences to join their Commercial team in London. This role focuses on supporting innovative healthcare market research projects and utilizing AI-enabled technologies to deliver strategic insights. Candidates with academic backgrounds in healthcare or life sciences who are keen on applying research and analytical expertise to aid commercial decision-making within pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing healthcare and life sciences market research studies within the European Commercial Team.
  • Develop proficiency in diverse research methodologies, including AI-driven approaches and emerging analytical techniques.
  • Contribute to designing research instruments such as screeners and questionnaires.
  • Manage various stages of project workflows independently, encompassing setup, fieldwork, data processing, timeline adherence, analysis, deliverables, and project administration.
  • Work with healthcare research data, survey outputs, and commercial datasets to clean, manage, and analyze both structured and unstructured data.
  • Utilize Python or related analytical programming languages for data manipulation, automation, and analysis where applicable.
  • Identify potential challenges and leverage technology or data-driven solutions to improve project delivery.
  • Analyze research outcomes and derive actionable insights under senior team supervision.
  • Participate in report drafting, quality checks, and development of presentations.
  • Create impactful client presentations and contribute to compelling research storytelling.
  • Engage with clients regularly regarding project progress and present research findings sections.
  • Explore integration of Oracle technologies, AI tools, and data platforms to advance research methodologies and client impact.
  • Efficiently manage time across multiple concurrent projects.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant disciplines such as Biomedical Sciences, Health Analytics, Pharmacy, Public Health, Life Sciences, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Healthcare Management, or closely related fields.
  • Open to recent graduates or candidates with up to two years of relevant experience in healthcare or life sciences sectors.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, or life sciences through academic, internship, placement, research, or professional activities.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in data manipulation, quantitative analysis, and data visualization through academic or professional avenues.
  • Fundamental understanding of data management including cleaning, structuring, and ensuring data quality.
  • Exposure to Python or similar programming languages for data analysis via university projects or practical experience.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Attributes

  • Interest or experience related to Oncology and/or Rare Diseases.
  • Familiarity with AI, machine learning concepts, AI-assisted analytics, or modern data platforms.
  • Preference for candidates intrigued by cloud-based data environments and AI-enabled research technologies.
  • Prior experience in healthcare market research or commercial consulting is advantageous but not mandatory.
