Job description

Role overview

This position is for a highly self-motivated and personable Rental Coordinator who can take ownership of accounts and deliver measurable results. You will oversee each order from start to finish, work directly with clients to design event rental solutions, and use your product expertise and consultative selling approach to create strong proposals, support planning and showroom appointments, and make sure every event is executed smoothly.

About the company

Folklore is a style-led, creative event rental business based in Southern California. The company focuses on transforming events into highly photogenic experiences with a curated selection of furniture and decor. Although rooted in Southern California, the team supports events across the country.

Minimum qualifications

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of relevant experience in sales coordination, account management, customer service, or the event rental / hospitality space. Strong client-facing and internal communication skills are important, along with the ability to build relationships and manage end-to-end orders, including proposals, change orders, and payments. Familiarity with CRM and order management tools is also expected, with HubSpot and RW being preferred.

What success in the role looks like

The ideal candidate brings strong selling ability, knows how to engage clients in a persuasive but thoughtful way, and is motivated to meet sales goals. You should also have a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and look for ways to improve the client journey and strengthen the company’s offerings.

Key responsibilities

You will handle the complete sales process from the first client inquiry through proposal creation, payment, delivery coordination, and follow-up after the event. The role requires building dependable client relationships, learning each event’s needs, suggesting appropriate furniture and decor options, and spotting opportunities to add value through upsells. You will also need to work independently, stay highly organized, keep account and order records updated in RW and HubSpot, and respond quickly by email and phone. In addition, you will coordinate closely with logistics, showroom, and operations teams to manage deliveries, solve issues, and support flawless event execution.

Compensation and benefits

Pay is based on experience and falls within the posted range. Benefits include medical insurance, dental coverage, vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
