Position Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner will act as a trusted advisor to leaders across the company, supporting the development of a high-performing, engaged, and accountable workforce. The role is responsible for advancing people-focused initiatives that back business growth, improve leadership capability, strengthen employee performance, and support a healthy workplace culture.

This position works closely with management to address workforce issues, grow talent, improve retention, and increase organizational effectiveness. It combines strategic judgment with hands-on execution and is important in helping the company scale while preserving a strong employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with leaders to connect people strategies to business priorities and operational targets.
  • Coach managers on performance expectations, accountability, communication, and team development.
  • Lead workforce initiatives that support expansion and long-term business success.
  • Spot opportunities to improve organizational performance, employee engagement, and leadership influence.
  • Handle employee relations concerns and workplace investigations.
  • Support managers with performance management, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
  • Help ensure workplace policies and employment practices are applied consistently and fairly.
  • Analyze patterns in employee issues and recommend proactive steps to improve performance and retention.
  • Partner with leaders on hiring, talent development, and retention of strong performers.
  • Assist with recruitment for critical roles and workforce planning efforts.
  • Support leadership development and manager training initiatives.
  • Help build career growth paths that encourage internal mobility and employee advancement.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements.
  • Advise on policies, employee relations matters, leaves of absence, and day-to-day employment practices.
  • Contribute to policy updates and help educate managers on HR standards.
  • Identify employment-related risks and support mitigation efforts.
  • Promote engagement, communication, recognition, and retention programs.
  • Help reinforce a workplace culture aligned with the company’s values and standards of excellence.
  • Work with leaders to build an environment where employees feel respected, supported, and motivated to perform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Between 5 and 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Background supporting operational, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, construction, hospitality, or similar environments.
  • Strong experience in employee relations, performance management, and leadership coaching.
  • Working knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to influence leaders and drive positive business and people outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Preferred credentials include SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
  • Experience working with a growing organization is preferred.
  • Experience delivering leadership development or management training is preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $95,000 to $120,000. Compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and the ability to partner effectively with leaders, improve employee relations, and support organizational growth.
