Overview
The University of Western Australia seeks a Remuneration and Reward Specialist to play a key role in advancing pay equity and recognizing outstanding contributions across the institution. This full-time permanent position offers flexibility with part-time arrangements available, based in Perth, Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives that promote pay equity and excellence in employee reward systems university-wide.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to inform workforce planning and capability development aligned with organizational goals.
- Design, maintain, and enhance the University's remuneration and job architecture frameworks supporting equitable and sustainable workforce strategies.
- Participate in the creation, review, and refinement of remuneration policies, tools, and guidance to ensure uniform understanding and application.
- Track sector trends, regulatory changes, and best practices regarding remuneration and classification, advising on integration into UWA policies.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in remuneration, job architecture, benchmarking, reward or classification within complex organizational environments.
- Strong collaboration skills with People & Culture teams and senior stakeholders.
- Expertise in leveraging digital systems to enhance process efficiency, data transparency, and integrity.
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor, combining strategic insight with operational execution.
- Advanced analytical skills with the capability to distill complex data into actionable insights.
- Desirable: Familiarity with Korn Ferry or Hay Grade Job Evaluation methods and remuneration benchmarking.
Additional Information
- The role’s base salary ranges from AUD 120,912 to AUD 132,161 per annum (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation.
- A National Police Clearance and employment checks relevant to gender-based violence and misconduct are mandatory.
