What you'll do

• Prepare and send medical claims with speed and accuracy to help secure prompt reimbursement.
• Examine claims, payer payments, denial activity, and account balances to identify and fix billing issues.
• Communicate with insurance carriers about pending claims and appeals until matters are resolved.
• Keep patient billing information current while following HIPAA rules and payer-specific requirements.
• Work closely with internal teammates to clear up billing problems and strengthen revenue cycle results.
• Take on other billing and revenue cycle tasks as needed.

What we're looking for

• Background in medical billing within a healthcare setting.
• Practical knowledge of insurance claim handling, payment posting, and denial management.
• Experience with orthopedic billing or surgery billing is strongly preferred.
• High attention to detail, along with solid organization and communication abilities.
• Ability to stay productive and manage priorities independently while working remotely.

Schedule and work setup

This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, does not require travel, and is fully remote for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones.

Compensation and benefits
