Role overview
This is a direct-hire opening for a Remote Medical Biller with a growing healthcare services company that focuses on orthopedic billing. The position is fully remote and is intended for professionals based in the Eastern or Central time zones. The team is looking for someone who is accurate, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where problem-solving and healthcare administration skills matter.
What you'll do
- Prepare and send medical claims with speed and accuracy to help secure prompt reimbursement.
- Examine claims, payer payments, denial activity, and account balances to identify and fix billing issues.
- Communicate with insurance carriers about pending claims and appeals until matters are resolved.
- Keep patient billing information current while following HIPAA rules and payer-specific requirements.
- Work closely with internal teammates to clear up billing problems and strengthen revenue cycle results.
- Take on other billing and revenue cycle tasks as needed.
What we're looking for
- Background in medical billing within a healthcare setting.
- Practical knowledge of insurance claim handling, payment posting, and denial management.
- Experience with orthopedic billing or surgery billing is strongly preferred.
- High attention to detail, along with solid organization and communication abilities.
- Ability to stay productive and manage priorities independently while working remotely.
Schedule and work setup
This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, does not require travel, and is fully remote for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones.
Compensation and benefits
