Position Summary

A reputable community-focused nonprofit organization in the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area is searching for a seasoned Director of Education Operations to manage the operational aspects of their established early childhood education program. The role demands comprehensive leadership in administration, staff development, budgeting, enrollment, and daily operations, all while promoting a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead overall early childhood program operations, including staff recruitment, supervision, coaching, performance evaluations, and fostering professional growth.
  • Ensure high-quality educational programming adhering to regulatory standards and drive ongoing operational improvements.
  • Handle budgeting, financial management, enrollment processes, procurement, and other administrative business tasks.
  • Establish and maintain positive connections with families via regular communication, enrollment assistance, tours, and active community engagement.
  • Coordinate day-to-day program logistics such as classroom scheduling, facilities maintenance, and resource allocation to create an excellent learning atmosphere.
  • Promote an inclusive, cooperative culture empowering educators, supporting families, and advancing the organization's mission.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Proven leadership history within early childhood education, childcare, preschool, or similar educational settings.
  • Experience as a classroom teacher with strong knowledge of child development and effective learning environment implementation.
  • Capability in managing staff, finances, enrollment, and daily operations while nurturing positive family relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Excel, and school/student information management systems.

Compensation and Benefits
