This opportunity suits a methodical and detail-focused professional skilled in drafting legal documents and capable of managing multiple case deadlines working remotely.

Key Roles and Duties

  • Prepare, edit, and process crucial estate planning documents such as wills, trusts (both revocable and irrevocable), and powers of attorney.
  • Coordinate and create real estate legal paperwork including deeds and supplementary documentation.
  • Draft probate and trust administration filings: petitions, notices, inventories, accountings, creditor claims, distribution proposals, and other court submissions.
  • Assist in preparing fiduciary and court documents related to estate and trust administration.
  • Track and handle deadlines for probate, court submissions, tax matters, hearings, and other legal protocols.
  • Collaborate on estate tax filings, trustee succession documentation, trust certificates, and settlement agreements.
  • Support contested probate and trust cases with litigation assistance, discovery tasks, court filing, and preparing hearings.
  • Collect financial, tax, and asset-related data necessary for administration purposes.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients, beneficiaries, financial professionals, court officials, tax authorities, and opposing lawyers.
  • Organize, exchange, and archive documents efficiently and preserve case files meticulously.
  • Log billable hours accurately for all assigned responsibilities.
  • Engage in team meetings, contribute to workflow designs, and promote process enhancements.
  • Delegate routine administrative tasks when appropriate.

Candidate Qualifications

  • At least three years’ experience in estate planning, probate, or trust administrative support.
  • In-depth understanding of probate court processes and trust legal frameworks.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Word; Adobe Acrobat skills are an advantage.
  • Experience using case management and document filing systems is preferable.
  • Education credentials including Associate's, Bachelor's, or Paralegal certification are favored.
  • Basic accounting knowledge is beneficial.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication.
  • Advanced legal drafting aptitude.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective organizational and time prioritization abilities.
  • Capability to independently juggle multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Discretion and prudent judgment handling sensitive information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to client service.
  • Adeptness at collaborating within a distributed team environment.

Compensation and Schedule

The role offers an hourly wage between $15 and $20 USD, commensurate with experience. This is a full-time remote position.
