Role overview
This position is for a Relationship Manager or Senior Relationship Manager within the Government Banking Group. The role focuses on building, nurturing, and deepening relationships with government entities, autonomous bodies, and state-level departments. The selected candidate will help drive business expansion, improve client experience, and support the bank’s growth in the government banking segment while staying aligned with regulatory and risk requirements.
Primary responsibilities
- Support the onboarding of government-sector customers while maintaining strong service standards.
- Contribute to business development within the boundaries of policy, compliance, and risk controls.
- Study client requirements and sector trends to recommend suitable banking products and services.
- Ensure KYC processes are completed correctly and on time, including appropriate risk classification.
- Assist in winning high-value relationships through thorough due diligence.
- Track client portfolios and identify potential warning signs at an early stage.
- Perform credit assessment work in line with RBI requirements.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Treasury, Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to achieve business objectives.
Secondary responsibilities
- Assist in running initiatives that improve customer penetration and revenue generation.
- Use market insights to adopt effective and relevant best practices.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients and resolve service-related concerns.

Eligibility and other details

Compensation
The offered salary range is INR 10,00,000 to INR 18,00,000 per year.
